Rescue Services in Southern Älvsborg received an alarm about a fire in Sätila, in Mark Municipality. Sätila is a bit outside the main town so the fire was greatly developed when Rescue Services arrived at the scene. According to public information, they had to focus on saving what could be saved. It was not easy because it was only a few meters between the burning barn and a house.
In a situation like this the TST SmartHose is very valuable. A fire of this magnitude develops extremely high temperatures and it is difficult to access the narrow opening between the houses. If you pull out a SmartHose and turn on water ther will be a 15 m high barrier of water. The water forms millions of small water drops that absorb heat. That's the whole point. The cooling effect is very large!
GT / Expressen (one of the biggest newspapers in Sweden) observed and wrote about the incident. See their film and article on this link. (It's all in Swedish.)
The local newspaper Markbladet has also written an article, with very nice pictures. (You see one of them here on the TST homepage. (Thanks to Joakim Eriksson / Agena Photo!)
